11A – Idea Napkin No. 1

Business idea: BlueTooth device that allows three or more devices to be connected.

1. I am a college student majoring in communications. I am a good talker and have a way to convince people. I aspire to create a device or service that makes life easier for my consumers. If I were to start a business, I would be the CEO and take control and make final decisions on all outlooks. It's like the saying, "no one can do it better than you."
2. My product is a Bluetooth device that connects to multiple devices at once, allowing them to transmit sound to each other through one headset. The merchandise would be produced to look like AirPods (including many different designs to fit people's ears).
          Imagen this: you have connected your wireless headphones to your computer and phone. You are listening to music on your phone while you are doing work on the computer. You click a video to play through that other device, and right away, it is playing through your Bluetooth headset without having to reconnect it to your other device.
          Imagen this: You are on the phone with someone through your wireless headphones. Earlier that day, you found a song that you want to play for them. Now, through a new Bluetooth service, you can transmit that song to play through both of your devices in real-time.
3. All my customers would have knowledge of technology in common; people who can understand the basics of Bluetooth and connecting it to your devices. Yes, this product would not be limited to the younger generations, but older consumers may find technology like this confusing and challenging.
4. Customers will pay money for this product because it will make Bluetooth easier to use. Every time you want to switch your headphones from one device to another, you have to do it manually every time. This way, it is just always connected all the time. Saving people's time and making things move by faster and easier!
5. Bluetooth devices are everywhere on the market, but nothing like this. This project will change the game and lead to many technological advances in the way Bluetooth devices work. You are always connected all the time.

These elements fit together because as technology grows and advances, it is essential to keep up with the trends or even set them. This is an open market that would pave the way for prominent products and services. Our world is becoming technology-reliant, so that makes new generations and generations to come to our target audience.

    Hi Samantha! This sounds like a great idea, and I think it would be loved by people that have to constantly reconnect their AirPods between their computer and iPhone. I have a lot of friends with this product! I've also thought a similar product which would connect a phone to two pairs of wireless headphones, since I love sharing music with my friends. It sure seems difficult to implement though!

    Hello Savannah,

    I love the idea for a bluetooth device that can connect to multiple devices at once. I find it to be very irritating when I have to disconnect and then reconnect when I switch between my phone and my laptop. I feel as though this product could easily target high school and college aged kids. Additionally, you could probably find young adults that would be intrigued by the product.

    Hey Samantha, I really like this idea! I frequently have this same problem when trying to switch my airpods between my phone and computer, and this certainly sounds like a great solution. This type of concept could be applied to a whole host of other audio products as well, so they are multiple avenues for monetizing this idea. I think older people would also be intrigued by this, as some of them don't know how to pair bluetooth devices. Thank you for sharing!

26A – Celebrating Failure

A time this past semester that I failed was when I was doing laundry. And I know what your thinking, but your wrong, I know how to do my own laundry. Unfortunately, I just made the wrong decision on my part. I had a shirt that was relatively old and pink. I was doing a whitewash, and I thought, 'ya know I don't think it will run; its been in the wash too many times to do that.' But thirty minutes later I found out I was wrong and it bled all my other clothes in the wash with it. From this experience, I learned from it, and what I learned was to don't take a chance just to do another load. And from this story, I hope you all learn from my mistake. Failure is critical in life. 28A – Your Exit Strategy

1. I intend to grow my business to all that it is worth, and if an opportunity comes for me to sell, then, of course, I will take that opportunity, but my main goal would be to run this business to the end. My existing strategy will be when I retire and hopefully pass on the business through my family. 2. I choose this to be my exit strategy because I want to grow and run the business to my full potential and then pass it on through my family to keep it in the family name. 3. I think this decision relates to my human capital and personal goals. I personally would like to take the business that I grew from the ground up as far as I could and, in the end, look at my progress. From there, my family can do what they think there’s exit strategy is best for this. What I mean by this is if they decide to sell it or grow it till they retire also. It has influenced my growth intentions and how I plan to use my resources.
