18A – Create a Customer Avatar

Prototypical customer for Bluetooth Wireless phones:

For this assignment, I went onto the avatar website and continued to click random find a diversity of younger-looking people. The demographic my product is based on the younger generations!


My customers are younger people who understand technology! Since these headphones may tend to be on the pricer side, it may aim the demographic to be middle to the upper class. These consumers could be as young as middle or high schoolers. To college kids and young adults. I have a lot in common with my avatar, I as believe that I would be a consumer. I also think that I have a lot in common with my so-called consumer because I created this product/idea from my personal experience. Meaning this is a product I would use, making me a part of the demographic!

    I think you did an awesome job depicting your consumer base. The photos you provided really gave insight on who your target market it. I think its great that you have a lot in common with your prototypical customer, as I think that is super important when trying to sell to people.

    Hi Savannah! I too created my product/service based on my own experience, therefore I also share a lot in common with my consumers. Targeting younger generations (as you did) seems appropriate considering your product is technology-related. I feel younger people would have more interest and use for this product than older generations (65+). Younger people have a higher tendency to own devices where they could use the product you’re advertising.

    Hi Savannah,
    I really like how you used a variety of avatars for your prospective customers rather than just one. That was very unique. Also, the differences of each avatar really gave insight to the many different college age and young adults that fall within your chosen target market which was great to see. I enjoyed how you based this assignment on your own personal experience and believe that that was helpful in incorporating more details.

1. From the first assignment, the bu lists, we have learned so much. The bug list was an excellent assignment to start the course. I allowed me to get into the headspace as a business person. 26A – Celebrating Failure

A time this past semester that I failed was when I was doing laundry. And I know what your thinking, but your wrong, I know how to do my own laundry. Unfortunately, I just made the wrong decision on my part. I had a shirt that was relatively old and pink. I was doing a whitewash, and I thought, 'ya know I don't think it will run; its been in the wash too many times to do that.' But thirty minutes later I found out I was wrong and it bled all my other clothes in the wash with it. From this experience, I learned from it, and what I learned was to don't take a chance just to do another load. And from this story, I hope you all learn from my mistake. Failure is critical in life. 28A – Your Exit Strategy

1. I intend to grow my business to all that it is worth, and if an opportunity comes for me to sell, then, of course, I will take that opportunity, but my main goal would be to run this business to the end. My existing strategy will be when I retire and hopefully pass on the business through my family. 2. I choose this to be my exit strategy because I want to grow and run the business to my full potential and then pass it on through my family to keep it in the family name. 3. I think this decision relates to my human capital and personal goals. I personally would like to take the business that I grew from the ground up as far as I could and, in the end, look at my progress. From there, my family can do what they think there’s exit strategy is best for this. What I mean by this is if they decide to sell it or grow it till they retire also. It has influenced my growth intentions and how I plan to use my resources.
